Vintage Thai Coffee
The original name for traditional Thai iced coffee is Oleang, which is a mash-up of the words "O" (black) and "Leang" (cold). The expression comes from the Teochew dialect, which is spoken by a large number of Thai and Chinese people. Traditionally brewed with a sock-like device, Oleang tends to be sweetened with condensed milk or other agents, resulting in a cup that packs a punch.
Classic Espresso
Espresso is a coffee-brewing method of Italian origin and is generally richer than other methods of brewing coffee. This is because of the increased concentration of suspended and dissolved solids, as well as the crema on top. Espresso may not be the answer to all our problems, but it’s worth a shot!
Filter Coffee
Also known as pour-over, this method originated from Germany and has become wildly popular in Thailand for its tea-like character and delicate taste. Choosing the right beans is especially important in making a great filter coffee. However, leave the rest to Chim Chim — our beans from Roots
are especially effective.
Cold-brew Coffee
This Japanese-born style is known for its smoother, sweeter yet milder flavor because it is brewed without heat. Another plus is that it is generally less acidic than regular coffee. Though the aroma and flavor are less intense, you’re assured a refreshing brew.
