As the Thai New Year approaches, Chim Chim is inviting guests to get their vacay mode on and enjoy a Bangkok summer that is anything but boring.
Running throughout April, “Summer Senses: A Feast of Food, Drink & Music” promises a limited-edition menu of holiday sharing food, summer-friendly drinks of popular Thai fruit and a stacked DJ lineup as part of Chim Chim’s iconic Saturday Vinyl Brunch.
Groups both big and small are catered for in a food menu that’s all about sharing. The DIY Summer Pita offers guests two skewers of their choice (octopus, chicken, beef or tiger prawns) to enjoy with puffy pita bread, hummus, flavourful grilled vegetables, guacamole and tomato salsa. Looking for more everything? Opt for the Summer Sharing Plate, which comes with all the above grilled proteins for a full-on feast.
Soak up the Mediterranean vibes with our Messy Mezze, a platter of tasty treats that includes hummus, feta, olives, zesty tabbouleh salad, and homemade tapenade spread. Say cheese with the Funky Focaccia, where homemade spongy focaccia comes topped with oozing burrata and succulent Parma ham.
Guests can get their fill of veggies with the G&M: marinated vegetables grilled to perfection. But save room for sweets, as the Blueberry Summer sees fresh blueberries baked on a pizza tart and topped with honey, almond ice cream and a touch of thyme.
As the weather (probably) heats up, the Chim Chim Summer Drinks menu hits the right balance between mellow and boozy. Guests can enjoy five specially crafted selections, some of which include marian plum, or mayong chid, the summer fruit beloved by many.
Don’t miss the Mayong Sour, a beachy offering where mayong chid meets whisky, lime juice and a homemade syrup made from Monsoon Tea’s Coconut Green, which is a green tea blended with toasted coconut. Another marian plum drink is Niyom Chim, a gin fizz twisted with mayong chid slices and passion fruit topped with yuzu soda. To beat the heat, try the Swing to Summer, where mayong chid puree dances with tequila, butterfly pea juice and yuzu soda, topped off with caramelised orange for a fresh aroma.
At Chim Chim, we believe the best moments are shared. So, this summer, gather your crew, friends or family and enjoy perfect-for-sharing drinks like the Hot Cuban, a mojito-inspired concoction of Havana rum mixed with chili syrup and torched chili, or the Ruby Sky, whose combo of gin, apple, raspberry syrup and strawberry slices topped with red wine and mayong chid is ideal for toasting the Bangkok sunset.
